With large displays added inside Stadium 1 and each of the 20 practice courts, content could be synchronized or alternate, providing more flexibility than ever. Additional services such as the Superwall, scoring networks, data distribution, scheduling and draw applications, practice court applications, sponsor reports, CCTV, Serve Speed, and Media Center draw administration delivered an integrated technology solution for 2015.
IDS was proud to once again be part of this prestigious event by providing management of the Open scoring services. Additional services included devices for management of on-course leaderboards, hole approach boards, scoreboards, media center displays, intranet/inquiry systems, digital LCD television displays, LED video displays and distribution of data to various on-site and off-site clients.
New this year was Wimbledon Extra Automated TV graphics, updated Tennis Insight Graphics displaying the new concepts using lower-thirds and 3D models; Electronic Information Display Production featured nine new LED displays around the grounds. These displays showed messages, matches in progress, schedules and results.
Other SMT/IDS onsite services at Wimbledon included: Scoreboard production, BBC Court Graphics, Prize Money, Wimbledon Extra graphics, Wimbledon Information System, "Wimbledon Vision", an Enhanced Wimbledon Information System with live video content, Press Interview Schedule Admin, Wimbledon Press Messaging System, Match Analysis, CCTV channels and Data feeds.
New to last year’s TCS New York City Marathon were SMT/IDS’ timing interfacing system and video display productions, including pre-race information content available on 20 kiosks at the Javits Center, at the start line, on course and at the finish line.
A 23-person team from SMT/IDS continued to expand its partnership with CrossFit by providing unique on-site solutions, including the implementation of the new 2014 show opener, the GOTO Board® touchscreen, enhanced scoring services, central clock controller, broadcast graphics, Closed Circuit Television Feed (CCTV), ribbon board interface, and rig display interface.
Services for the Miami Open included the Stadium Video Display and Production, Closed Circuit TV system with Matches in Progress, Match Information System, Video Stats, and Interview Video as well as the Tournament Video Displays, including the Superwall, the West Side Display, On-Court LED Color Scoreboards and On-Court Serve Speed Displays.
